In partnership with notMYkid and EricsHouse, The Casa is sponsoring a 3-part community awareness and prevention series to do our part in keeping our loved ones safe. Part 1 is a panel on suicide and substance abuse in our community. A panel of experts will discuss the “state of the state” of suicide and substance abuse in our local community. Marianne Gouveia, Executive Director of EricsHouse Inc. will lead a discussion with Ryan Sheade, Head of Counseling Ministry at the Casa, Jorondo Montaño, Chief Program Director for notMYkid, and Jill McMahon, LPC. The panel will consist of Kristen Polin, CEO of notMYkid, Nikki Kontz from Teen Lifeline, Amanda Chavez, Clinical Manager at Terros, Dr. Denise Campagnolo (Thomas’ Mom and suicide loss survivor), and Sara Miller-Combs (Adam’s mom, overdose loss survivor.) You will gain knowledge and insights from this experienced group so that we can make a difference in our community.
