Losing a sibling to suicide or substance use is heartbreaking. Siblings share unique bonds that begin early on in life. This group is designed to support siblings grieving the loss of a sibling. It it recommended members be 4 to 5 months out from their loss before joining this group. Adults who lost a sibling are often called “the Forgotten Mourners.” Emotional complexities along with the relationships and grief of other family members can sometimes overshadow the grief of siblings. This group provides support so siblings have a safe space to share their feelings in response to loss.

Meetings will be virtual. We will follow The Wilderness of Grief – Finding Your Way by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph. D. Participants receive a copy of the book and a journal in the mail. This support group meets every other Monday from 5 to 6:30pm AZ time via Zoom. Sessions begin on January 22 and end on May 27.
